The GitHub presence and the new structure of oemof was presented at the 4th openmod meeting at KTH in Stockholm along with 16 other short talks of the international community. Many common working fields have been detected and discussed which will hopefully be continued in the coming months.
At 3rd Open Energy Modelling Workshop design of the OpenEnergy Platform was discussed in a breakout group. This Platform that will be released in 2016 serves as hub for energy system modelers to improve visibility, communication and in general support development open source licensed energy system models.
Oemof and in particular its modular and community based approach contributed valuable input to the discussion about the OpenEnergy Platform.
